How an approval runs in Victoria

    Application
    Documents, planning permit, consents and the levy in order before assessment starts.
  2. Assessment
    Code review
    NCC compliance, performance solutions, fire brigade and council referrals where required.
  3. Form 2
    Building permit
    Issued with the mandatory notification stages written on it.
  4. ss 33–34
    Inspections
    Footings, in-situ concrete, frame, fire and smoke elements, final. Inspected in person, recorded, reported.
  5. Form 17
    Final inspection
    Certificate of final inspection where an occupancy permit is not required.

    Occupancy permit
